10 Perfectly-Charming Oversized Nightstands

Due to the global pandemic, the price of materials and difficulties around manufacturing have likely driven up the cost of production, and therefore the consumer price. Let me start off by saying, do-it-yourself building is not for everyone, and it certainly is not for every project. Those of us with full time jobs and life responsibilities need to prioritize projects. And the truth is, sometimes buying is simply the more convenient way to go. Which is what led me to find the best oversized nightstands.

In my own personal search for the perfect oversized nightstand I compiled a list of my favorite (affordable) options. I focused on dresser-style farmhouse nightstands.

What is an Oversized Nightstand?

Now for a little nightstand education. Typically nightstands fall into the 25″ H x 20″ W x 15″ D dimensions, and you can purchase them for a few hundred dollars. A major downside to this standard size is that they often have limited drawers, offer minimal functionality, and can look unnaturally small depending on your bed and the size of the room.

Generally, oversized nightstands are around 30″ H x 30″ W x 19″ D. That 5 or more inches in height and width can make all the difference!

The list of options I have compiled below come complete with ample drawer space, as well as, wide tops just waiting to be perfectly decorated! If you are like us and have a large bed (ours measures just shy of 31 inch’s at mattress height), an oversized nightstand can also create a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Additionally, as someone that only has a closet, an oversized nightstand is the perfect solution to get drawer space for a few things, while not over taking the room with an unnecessary full size dresser (which would be even more costly!).

So the minimal cost to upgrade for style, quality, and space is well worth it in my opinion.
